Movie Trailer Remake

Our assignment for this project was to recreate a high school movie trailer. We were put in a group of 3 people. We had to type the script as well as create story boards and make a cast list. First we did all the pre- production things such as getting story boards and cast list and scripts done. Not only did we do that but we had to create costume list as well as location. We choose the duff as our movie trailer. The duff was an easier movie to recreate because most of it took place at school, plus all of our actors were easy to get and use. The editing process was in my opinion easier than most because all we had to do is follow the story board as well as the original trailer. One thing I learned was that you have to be very flexible, definitely if you shoot any footage outside. My group had one scene outside and every single time we tried to shoot outside it was very windy. However we did learn how to use certain tools to fix that. However when it was our turn to shoot those materials were not available. I did learn that it was vital to have two sd cards in the camera at times because you never know when you will run out of storage in one. one thing that I feel my group did very well was collaboration. we always communicated when we wouldn't be here, or if we need to film we would stay in contact to let the group what was going on and where it was happening. One thing I would do differently Is start editing once we got some footage, it may have helped us in the final editing process if we had already put some of the clips in. One thing I wouldn't change is the way my group collaborated and worked together. We never had any issues besides typical technical difficulties. I definitely will use the motivation and dedication from this video into my next! plus i will always be prepared for bad weather as well as complications with scheduling. One last thought is that I enjoyed doing this for one because this had more structure and organization than other projects I've done as well as better group communication!
