Valuable Takeaways using the 5 guarantees

Technology- One valuable thing I learned in graphic design using the technology guarantee was the use of tutorials. When it comes to using the adobe suite, I have yet to master it. So I found very essential to look up tutorials over certain topics to help me finish a project. One project I had to look  up tutorials for was the company rebrand. For this projectI had to pick a not well known company and rebrand it by changing its entire look. This was our final project in graphic design. For this project i really had to think and do this on my own without relying on my teacher to help me. my teacher was there to help but using tutorials to help teach me how to use certain software really made a difference on the quality of my project.

Collaboration- Collaboration is very essential to the e-Communication academy. at any given time you may be told to work with another peer to create a project.You may also be told to work with a client. there are many opportunities to have to collaborate. in graphic design i had one project where i had to work with another peer to help in the process of creating an infographic. Though it was an independent project we used our partners to bounce ideas of them or even learn useful tips. At every occasion have i collaborated with my instructor to help guide me through certain projects. Collaboration is very essential because you really need to use in graphic design and        e-Comm. I really had to communicate with my instructor to help me learn something new, or even let her know important information.

Communication- Communication is very essential to the e-Communication academy as well. Communicating is very important because life happens. You get busy, you have scheduling conflicts, you have deadlines. these very reasons make it very important that you are communicating with your partners and/or clients. in graphic design i have found myself with many conflicts. i would miss school due to field trips and doctors appointments...etc. So i made it a top priority to communicate with my teacher of any absences i would have as wells as any scheduling conflicts i had. one of the first projects in graphic design I did was the fall raccoon project. I had missed multiple days of school due to various reasons, so i communicated with my teacher to let her know what was going on with my schedule. informing her ahead of time and communicating really made my life easier.




















Project management- Project management is my biggest struggle. throughout the year i have had an ongoing issue turning my work in on time, and not procrastinating. at times it is hard for me to focus and tay on task. towards the end of the year I've been able to get better with time management. although I've turned things in late I've lead how i work best and how i can accomplish task.



Leadership- Leaderships isn't one of the most common guarantee in graphic design because you do more independent projects. However you can show leadership by the quality of your work and your ability to turn things on time and having good work ethic.

Strengths and Weaknesses 

My strengths are the fact that I am a hard worker and that I can give good quality work. I am able to accomplish projects. i can be told to do something and i will do it with great effort audit will be done with the greatest ability and quality. Above are two projects I've done this year. and below are the rest. I have improved throughout the year by the content and the quality of it. i have also been able to turn in the last two projects in on time. I still could work on how i manage my time.

The information I've learned will help me to build status and relationships with people outside my school environment. I can use the 5 guarantees to build credibility. i will be able to graduate high school knowing what a work environment will be like and how to handle situations such as deadlines. If I could anything it would be how i manage my time and the way i worked in class.  I find myself getting really distracted in class easily by talking and other things so  would like to change they way i present myself in class. Therefore, the 5 guarantees helped and will continue to help throughout the rest of my high school career and outside the high school career.
